FAQ

Why should I get organized?
Here are just a few reasons to get organized:

  • Your clutter is costing you time. Let’s say that you are spending 10 minutes a day looking for something. That adds up to 70 minutes a week, 5 hours a month, and a whopping 60 hours a year.
  • Your clutter is keeping you from doing or having what is most important to you.
  • It’s costing you money. You may pay your bills late, buy things you don’t need, or buy duplicates of things you can’t find.
  • Your mess may be affecting your relationships and the people you live with.

Where should I start organizing?
Whatever is bothering you most is where you should start.

I am set in my ways. Can I change?
It’s never too late to change. Even small changes can affect how you live. Less clutter will make your home easier to take care of. You will save time, money and reduce your stress level.

I’d like to be organized, but I don’t want to be a fanatic about it.
To me, being organized is about finding what you want when you want it. It is not about having plastic covers for your sofa! My ultimate goal is to help you make your home beautiful, and easier to maintain. Being organized will help you spend more time doing things you love, not spend more time organizing!

I’d like to improve the way my office looks and functions, but I’m on a budget. Can I be helped?
Yes, you can improve the look and function of any space while on a budget. I will be devoting many articles on this very subject. Keep coming back to www.homeandorganizing.com for great money saving ideas.
